DoToo runs in your browser. There is no separate iOS or Android app in the App Store or Play Store. There is a web app that you add to your home screen. That way you open the full DoToo like an app on your phone.

Go to play.dotoo.app and follow the steps below to add DoToo.

Is there an iOS or Android app?

No. There is no separate app to download from the App Store or Play Store. DoToo is a web app: it works in the browser on your phone and you can add it to your home screen. That way you open DoToo like an app, with the same features as on desktop.

Why is there no app in the App Store or Play Store?

Separate native apps for iOS and Android are expensive to build and maintain, certainly alongside our web app that we keep developing. With a PWA you get the full DoToo on your phone, without waiting for updates in an app store.

That way we can put our budget and our time into features that make a difference for your organization.

What is a PWA?

PWA stands for Progressive Web App. In practice: you visit DoToo in the browser and add that page to your home screen. After that DoToo opens in its own window, without the address bar of the browser. It feels like an app, but it stays the same web app that we update centrally.

How do I install DoToo on iPhone (iOS)?

On iPhone this works best in Safari. Other browsers on iOS usually do not offer this option.

  1. Open Safari and go to play.dotoo.app.
  2. Log in if you have not done so yet.
  3. Tap the share icon at the bottom (a square with an arrow pointing up).
  4. Scroll and choose Add to Home Screen.
  5. Check the name and tap Add.

DoToo is now on your home screen. Open the icon to start DoToo.

How do I install DoToo on Android?

On Android this works best in Chrome.

  1. Open Chrome and go to play.dotoo.app.
  2. Log in if you have not done so yet.
  3. Tap the menu in the top right (three dots).
  4. Choose Install app or Add to Home screen. Sometimes a banner with the same option also appears at the bottom.
  5. Confirm the installation.

DoToo then opens as an app on your phone.

Does it work on tablet or desktop too?

Yes. DoToo works in any modern browser. On a phone we recommend the PWA for the fastest day-to-day use. On a tablet or laptop you simply use DoToo through the browser, or you add the page to your home screen or dock there as well if you find that handy.

I do not see the option. What now?

Check that you are using the right browser: Safari on iPhone, Chrome on Android. Make sure you are on play.dotoo.app and not in the built-in browser of another app, for example from your email or a chat. Better to open the link in Safari or Chrome.
